It is recommended that you take classes that will help you in your future career. For example, if you plan on going into the medical field, you should plan on taking biology, chemistry, college biology, and anatomy.

COLLEGE RECOMMENDATIONS
High school students entering 4-year universities in Michigan are required to have completed the following units:
English: 4 years
Mathematics: 4 years strongly recommended
Social Studies: 3 years
Natural Science: 3 years (including 1 year of biological science and 1 year of physical science); 3 years recommended. At least 2 years of lab science are strongly recommended.
World Language: Some universities/colleges require 2 years of the same foreign language.
Other recommended units:
World Language: 3 years
Computer Literacy: 1 year hands-on experience
Fine/Performing Arts: 2 years
