Creative Writing

This course will explore the fundamentals of creative writing, including fiction and poetry. Using a workshop format to encourage peer analysis and create an audience, students will develop a variety of original work in which they will explore the artistic relationship between their writing and the creative process. Students will also help each other develop, critique, and polish their writing and poetry selections. Students will be asked to be self-reflective on their own writing and will learn that writing is a continuous and constant process that evolves during a series of drafts.
