Health 2

If you are interested in learning about careers in health care/medicine, have a interest in health related topics, or want to learn more about improving your health then this is the class for you.

This is a full year elective course designed for 10^th, 11^th and 12^th graders who have already taken Health Education. If you have an interest in health related topics or want to learn more about improving your health, then this is the class for you. In this course you will learn American Heart Association CPR/AED with opportunity for certification, learn about basic medical terminology, explore various types of alternative/integrative medicine, mental health conditions, current health news topics, healthy relationships and parenting (Realcare baby goes home with you), stress management, nutrition education, drug prevention, and disease prevention. Health care/medical careers through NMU will also be explored with speakers from the NMU programs.

Available for grades 10, 11, and 12.

You learn about health related, alternative and integrative medicines, medical terminology, disease prevention, and much more.

Health 2 is a year long class

Requirement: Need to take Health 1 first
